Yes, transcribed notes can be exported in PDF and DOC formats. Currently, only text is editable; mathematical formulas and diagrams remain in image form.
Do I need to be connected to the Internet to use this feature?
Yes, an Internet connection is required since our AI based transcription engine operates in the cloud. Regular software updates also require an Internet connection.
Is this feature free?
The Intelligent AI transcription is currently available as a free beta version for the coming months. In the future, advanced transcription features leveraging AI may require a subscription, to support infrastructure cost, ongoing development and continuous improvements of this advanced technology. Software updates will remain free.
What's the difference between Paperslate and Paperslate Pro models regarding this feature?
The AI feature is identical on both models. Differences only pertain to hardware specifications such as backlighting, memory, and IPX8 waterproofing present on the Pro version.
Are my data protected?
Currently, Paperslate cannot guarantee complete confidentiality of data transmitted to the cloud during transcription, due to the use of AI-based technology. Therefore, it's recommended not to transmit sensitive or confidential information through this feature.
How can I get AI updates?
AI updates are automatically available through regular software updates of our cloud solution. These updates will be done on the fly and won't necessary trigger a notification.
