• Improved battery performance.

• Automatic notification when an update is available upon each Wi-Fi connection.

• Display of a “Wi-Fi disabled” icon that acts as a direct shortcut to Wi-Fi settings.

⚠️ Important: Following this update, the displayed battery level may vary. This is completely normal, as the device recalibrates its indicator based on the applied optimizations.

• Enhanced highlighter in annotation mode.

• Automatic screen refresh after exiting a PDF.

• Added the User Manual in the /Documents folder.

• The last option selected between “Catalog” and “Favorites” in the PDF navigation menu is now saved by default.

Software Update V1.56

Features:

• Export and save automatically your Annotated PDF files in a new folder /Annotations directly accessible from other apps.
• Import PDF files directly from your apps (stored in the /Download folder).

After downloading files from your apps :

Bug Fix:

• Power management has been fixed and Battery lifetime has been enhanced from few days to few weeks. This enhancement applies mainly in Standby mode.

Enhancements:

• Better information via dialog boxes during Export process.

 

How to Perform an OTA Update

1. Access the Update Option of your Paperslate: 
   Navigate to Settings > Device > System Update.
   
2. Check for Updates:
   A dialog box will display if a new update is available. 
   
3. Start the Update:
   Press Confirm to begin the OTA update. The device will download the update and proceed to install it.
   
4. Wait for Installation:
   Allow the device to complete the update process, including restarting automatically.
   
5. Verify the Update:
   After the restart, go to Settings > Device > Device Info > System Version to ensure the version number has updated.
   

Important Conditions:

• Ensure the battery level is above 20% during the whole update process (Mandatory).
• If the battery is below 20%, the device will download the update and restart but will not install the new firmware.
